The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) is a non-partisan, non-advocacy, not-for-profit international organization with a mission to assist in solving environmental problems in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The center fulfils this mission by promoting cooperation among non-governmental organisations, governments, businesses and other environmental stakeholders, and by supporting the free exchange of information and public participation in environmental decision making. www.rec.org

Venice International University (VIU) is an international higher education and research center formed by universities and institutions from different parts of the world and located on the island of San Servolo in Venice, Italy. Agroinnova is a Centre of Competence of the University of Turin, located in Grugliasco University Campus, not far from Turin. Agroinnova networks the knowledge acquired in the agroenvironmental and agro-food sector by public and private, Italian and foreign researchers, in order to carry out basic and applied research projects, technology transfer and higher education at the national and international levels on highly topical issues.
